In this strange and troubled world

2003年，年过五十的Joan Armatrading在八年沉寂之后，推出专辑[Lovers Speak]，延续了她早年形成的Folk-rock风格，虽无新意，但她在专辑里显示了更多的才能——包办了多数乐器的演奏并独立担任制作人——在音乐风格潮起潮落的浮躁背景下，一个坚持的人更值得尊重。

    • PS：Joan Armatrading 年轻时演唱的SAVE ME，与Susheela Raman的翻唱截然不同，后者在气息运用上要技高一筹，但是Joan，让人跟着她略显坚硬的声音一道，感受着情感的旋涡深处，那一场忽如其来的心脏骤缩，那时候她的照片经常是一个瘦弱、孤单的身影，抱着一把吉他；再对比一下中年以后的Crazy for you（歌词附后），她的声音里多了一些亲昵和宽容，即使在倾诉内心深处的疯狂。世事纷扰，变化无常，所幸我们依然还有那些坚持的情感。
